About the Item
Exceptional ! Superbly carved hardwood with a shell motif backrest cartouche and shell appointed arm rests. The seat is elaborately caned;
and the piece is finely and dramatically scaled.
The settee is " pegged " in the traditional old style of construction.
Fashioned at the height of the empire with dramatic flare. ( the pillows
are included with the settee)
