About the Item

Beautiful and very elegant Frits Henningsen style sofa manufactured and marked with label by Søren Willadsen, Denmark probably sometime in the 1940s to early 1950s. Framed in mahogany with the frame extending into flared legs. This elegant design style is most often associated with Frits Henningsen but other master furniture makers of the era such as Jacob Kjaer and Soren Willadsen made sofas of similar style. This settee is a very good example of that. Same high quality as Henningsen but with a slightly more modern and rounded design. Overall very good condition and by one of Denmark's premier makers. Classic and enduring design and increasingly sought after as these pieces continue to deliver the timeless elegance that makes them fit well into any modern design. This sofa is in very good condition throughout with minor natural age wear to the frame. Fabric in clean condition but shows wear and we reccommend having it reupholstered which we offer at a very competitive price.
