1940s Italian Late Art Deco Pair Gilded Black Lacquered Chairs in Black Velvet
About the Item
Late Italian Art Deco glamorous pair of handcrafted side chairs in Liberty style and in very good original condition. The original fabric is extremely interesting in a weaved black silk and velvet with a diamond pattern, so unique that it picks up dark blue and dark purple reflections. The hand-carved airy structure is in black lacquered wood with gilded carved side decorations and gold accents on the front legs, ending with a brass boot.
