Andre Dupre String Chair for Knoll Associates, 1947

About the Item

A beautiful string chair by the French designer Andre Dupre for Knoll Associates circa 1947. This early and rare, museum quality example is all original with absolutely stunning patina to the frame. The back cording is in lovely condition with a warm, toasted color. The cord on the seat sagged a bit so we had a custom canvas seat wrap made for extra support and comfort (it looks so good!). The knoll label is the nicest one we've ever seen on one of these chairs (for those of you who appreciate early Knoll labels). This special and versatile little chair is ready for use - perfect at a dining table, a desk, or simply as a accent chair along a wall or in a bedroom.
