Small English Victorian Boudoir Chair, 1880s
About the Item
An Unusual Small, Antique Boudoir or Nursing Chair. circa 1880s,
Made in the midst of the Victorian Aesthetic Movement, the chair has low proportions and is in the design manner of Bruce James Talbert for Gillows & Co.
The chair boasts a carved mahogany frame, upholstered seat and arms, which are solid and in good condition, and stands on square front legs, set on brass casters.
The fabric is original, and as such, is in fair condition. It could be an excellent upholstery project or used as is.
