About the Item
Lovely vintage Mid-Century Modern coral frieze upholstered modified slipper chair with round tapered walnut legs. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The padding in the chair is a bit stiff and may eventually need redone. The fabric has no holes that we have detected, and it has been professionally shampooed but it does have some worn areas on the arm fronts, overall fading, and the buttons stayed a little dingy so, although we adore this coral-colored frieze fabric, most will want to recover. This is a wonderful, vintage mid-century modern modified slipper style chair with a low frame, featuring a gorgeous walnut apron, round tapered walnut legs that are straight in the front and angled outward in the back. It has an attached wide seat cushion on top of coil springs, button detailed seat back, and it wears a lovely coral frieze fabric that we love; however, it has some wear as you would expect with a vintage piece, and the padding is a bit stiff so some may want to reupholster. But just think of the endless options! It has very low arms; hence, the “modified” slipper style and the seat cushion is deep and wide. We would call this more of a conversation chair rather than a relaxing chair and it will look wonderful in a corner of your bedroom or dressing area or at the front door in the entry for a convenient spot to remove your shoes. We just adore this mid-century modern coral frieze modified slipper chair and surely you do too… now, just make it yours!!
