Iconic 3 seater sofa/bed designed by Alessandro Becchi for Giovannetti, 1970.
The sofa is in original leather, very good condition, smaal sign of aging, small hole( about2 mm) in the seat.
The sofa can be opened and turned into comfortable beds.
Designed for the first time in 1970, the Anfibio sofa bed is defined by critics around the world as "the sofa work of art". This charming piece of furniture is characterized by generous dimensions and soft and enveloping shapes that invite relaxation, comfort and sharing. The sofa has a structure in rectangular steel profile and padding in non-deformable high density polyurethane padded with heat-sealed acrylic fibers and protective fabric. Ideal as a transformable solution, this work of art perfectly combines aesthetic research and innovative use of domestic spaces.
The project won the Compasso d' oro in 1972.
The Anfibio sofa is exhibited in 13 museums around the world, including the moma in New York.
