Minimalist sofa designed by Martin Visser for 't Spectrum and freshly re-upholstered with new teddy fabric. Structure in metal. 2 positions, can be converting in bed. New teddy fabric and metal frame, some minor patina on metal parts. Martin Visser Avant-gardist, minimalist & art collector Martin Visser (1922-2009) is one of the ' best-known furniture designers from the Netherlands. Because of his work for the furniture department of De Bijenkorf, Visser was asked in 1954 to become chief designer at Spectrum. This turned out to be a golden opportunity, his sleek designs and functional approach to design have long determined the collection. The BR 02 sofa bed, designed in 1960, is Visser's most famous design and has become a real design classic! The ease of use, comfort and clear construction are essential elements of this successful design. In addition, this design exudes durability: the timeless design and high quality ensure that this sofa bed lasts for generations and fits into lots of styles interiors.
