Stunning Brand New William Morris Forest Linen Upholstered Chesterfield Sofa

About the Item

We are delighted to this absolutely stunning brand new William Morris forest Linen upholstered Chesterfield tufted sofa This is without a doubt my absolutely favourite Morris fabric, it’s based on the original tapestry made in 1887 and is current on display in the Victorian and Albert Museum. The upholstery depicts a forest scene with a wolf, rabbit peacock and various flowers The sofa has been made without absolutely no expensive spared what so ever, all cushions are fully upholstered on both sides so should the worst happen and one side becomes worn or damaged you can simply flip it over. The cushion internals are what’s called split panel feather filled foam core, quite a mouth full! They are exceptionally expensive to make, what you have is an internal bag which has a premium foam core, you then have two additional sections both with goose down feathers, the foam creates the rigidity of the seat and the feathers the absolute comfort. The sofa is tufted to the back and sides and the base is coil sprung which you don’t really need as you have the luxury cushions but as mentioned this is a no expense spared affair! Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
