French Empire Period Swans' Heads Stool
About the Item
This beautiful antique stool is a classic example of Empire period design: with elegant curved armrests which are designed to look like swans' necks, the seat features skilfully-cast gilt bronze swans' heads. The cream-colored upholstered cushion-seat rests on a rectangular mahogany frame, which rests on sabre-form legs, in turn set on gilt bronze paw feet.
