Japanese antique wooden high stool/Taisho-Showa era/Tree branch stool

About the Item

This is a stool made from Japanese tree branches. In Japan, chairs like this were often made using natural wood. I think they probably made them themselves and used them as work chairs in farms and private homes. It is thought to have been built between the Taisho period and the early Showa period. (1912-1950) The seat is probably made of cedar or pine. I think the legs are made of cherry wood or something similar. Even the bark sticks together and you can feel the charm of natural wood. The seat is not horizontal and is slightly slanted, but the height is about 53 cm, so it is actually easier to sit on. This is a recommended item. Weight: 2.7kg If you want something special, we recommend purchasing items selected by Brood. We sell carefully selected old Japanese items. I've seen tens of thousands of items so far.
