Léo Capote pair of stunning Cadeira Machado stools - Numbered and signed - 2015
About the Item
Two magnificent stools mod. Cadeira Machado with a wood and brass structure. The style of these seats is, at the same time, rustic and sophisticated: the wood looks as if it has just been cut by a woodcutter, and the axe-shaped supports reinforce this idea. At the same time, this veracity is accompanied by skillful workmanship with delicate finishes on the back and edges of the seat. The seat traces Capote's socially oriented works, with references to the major theme of deforestation and food security. These very themes are the ones declined at Expo 2015 in Milan, and these stools were included among the furnishings of Brazil's pavilion at the Expo.
The tips are made of rubber. There is a metal label to testify to the limited and numbered edition of 15 pieces created especially for the Expo. The pair of stools is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the artist.
