About the Item

Pair of Antique Irish Pub Stools from around, circa 1900. The Pair of Stools are an ideal height for our American standard 36” high counter tops. Tolix steel stacking stools and stacking chairs were designed by Xavier Pauchard, who was a trained roofer in France. The actual Tolix stools and chairs were not designed until the 1930’s. In 1956 Mr. X finally developed the first fully stackable Tolix chairs, soon followed by the Tolix stacking stools. The ability to be able to stack (12) or more steel chairs, the Tolix chairs and stools became an instant success. We stock the steel Tolix...
