Queen Anne Period Walnut Stool

About the Item

A Queen Anne period walnut stool. Early 18th century, circa 1710. Upholstered in 17th century tapestry, and close-nailed. Original stretchers and rails, all firm in the joints. Ready to use, in excellent condition. Ref: In 'The Shorter Dictionary of English Furniture' Ralph Edwards CBE FSA illustrates an antique walnut stool of a similar period, circa 1700, Hamlyn, London, (Fourth impression 1972) p. 50, ill. 29. Measures: W 18" (46cm.) D 14" (36cm.) H 17" (43cm.).
