Vintage Tripod Stool by Hale of Vermont c1960s
About the Item
A tripod legged stool of solid walnut by the Hale Company of East Arlington, Vermont. Influenced by mid century Shaker furniture and stools by the master of American woodworkers, Wharton Esherick, of the 1950s. The club shaped legs are mortised and tenoned and splined to the stretchers as well as to the thick, organically shaped, seat. Stunning design.
