Antique Baroque 18th Century Oak Trunk With Carved Details

About the Item

It is the incredible hand-carved details that make this trunk or "coffer" so impressive. This solid oak trunk is the type one might see if touring the hallways of a castle in Denmark. This baroque trunk has passed the test of time and will maintain its elegant presence for years to come. The original hand-wrought iron handles on each side will facilitate moving this heavy oak coffer while the long hinges allow one to open the heavy oak top. Professionally restored and waxed, this trunk is ready to be placed and enjoyed. Any old cracks, nicks, signs of wear are commensurate with age and do not detract from the function nor beauty of this carved trunk. You are welcome to contact us directly if you would like to learn more about this or other items, we will be happy to assist you further.
