Decorated Oak Baroque Storage Chest
About the Item
German baroque storage chest or trunk in its original condition.
Hand carved in oak with polychrome hand decorated facade. Top of panel with inscription "Christine Sophie Wilhelmiene Böhne in Leteln". The lid with recessed panels opening to reveal a large storage interior.
Sides are decorated with recessed panels and fitted with carrying handles on both sides.
Original lock and key.
Germany 1680-1720.
A decorative and beautiful chest in original, untouched condition, with natural age related patina.
