Central European Painted Blanket Chest
About the Item
Central European painted blanket chest, the top with breadboard ends, interior with candle box on the left side, the front is painted with matching floral and foliate wreathes, tin key escutcheon. The chest is dated in an unusual manner with 1 number in each corner from left to right and top to bottom (1869), the chest rests on bun feet( not original), the entirety with beautiful color and patina.
