19th Century French Carved Bookcase
About the Item
19th century oak bookcase from France. The top has a beveled and hand carved decorated edge, following down to a carved upper band which extends to both sides for added design interest. The piece has three moveable shelves, all with hand carved designed fronts. The opening of the case is flanked by additional carvings as well. The case is supported on a banded base. The carving is lovely and the overall look is very elegant and would be perfect for any home or office.
