Acerbis Life System Wall Unit in Mustard Yellow Doors and White Lacquered Frame

About the Item

The system consists of a series of panels acting as boiserie (wainscotings). Cubic cabinets can be hung to them using special spacers, fitted with light sources, or glass shelves can be fitted in the millings. Base units of varying length complete the system. General Information: The panels, base units as well as the doors of the cubes have a lacquered finish, matt or glossy, in the available colours. The cube units have always a matt lacquered body. The internal parts of the cubes and those subject to reflection of the light are always matt white lacquered. The doors of cubes can be overturned during assembling. Projects: A drawing of the required composition must always be enclosed with each order. Lighting: Each cube is detached from the panels by matt white methacrylate spacers. The light source is inserted in the gap between: this not only diffuses the light from the rear, but also illuminates the inside unit via a clear polycarbonate porthole. Incandescent bulbs with silvered cover and European coupling E27 (USA coupling E26), max 60 Watt. The electrical components comply with European rules. Ready, easy electrical connection. Installation must be done exclusively by a professional, according to the relevant safety standards in every country. Wall Fixing: For all wall hung units the choice of the wall plugs suitable to the kind of wall is left to the flitter's experience. The company declines in any case all responsibility. Roberto Monsani started his professional career in Florence by designing homes and urban development plans in Tuscany. Between the 1970s and 1990s he designed commercial buildings and shops in Europe, America and Asia. In 1973, from the restructuring of a sales centre inside Palazzo Ferroni, Life was born: conceived as an artistic solution, it became an industrial product in 1974, the year in which the collaboration between Acerbis and Monsani began. His most recent works have been in Rome: the recovery of representative spaces and the furnishing inside the historic Palazzo Borghese, and the conversion of the Adriano theatre in Piazza Cavour. • Acerbis Life Sofa in White Upholstery with Dark Stained Walnut Frame
    By Acerbis, Roberto Monsani
    Located in Brooklyn, NY
Created in 1975 by Florentine architect Roberto Monsani, Life is a modular sofa and an armchair with a soft seat. The compact design allows great versatility, while the large seat gives a pleasant cosy feeling. Providing a combination of full and empty spaces, it is an architecture that affects the space creating a harmonious balance between form and function. Originally created with a plexiglass shell, which was avant-garde for the time, today’s version reverses the direction towards the cabinetmakers’ world and expertise. Structure and upholstery An upholstered system with modular elements, made of veneered, brushed open grain curved birch plywood in black ash and dark stained walnut finishes. A hidden element hooking system. The backrest and seat cushions are in polyurethane foam with feather upholstery. The upholstery fabric enhances its softness, covers the sofa in all its parts and is completely removable. Possibility of purchasing additional cover upholstery. The following elements are available: seat module, pouf S and pouf M. Roberto Monsani started his professional career in Florence by designing homes and urban development plans in Tuscany. Between the 1970s and 1990s he designed commercial buildings and shops in Europe, America and Asia. In 1973, from the restructuring of a sales centre inside Palazzo...
