About the Item
Black Gran Livorno self standing is a freestanding bookcase. The piece consists of two shelving units leaning against one another back-to-back and lends itself to be used not only as a bookcase but as a room divider to define different living spaces. This second function elevates the status of the piece amongst the furniture hierarchy of interior design. Both its extreme functionality and dominating physical presence mean that Gran Livorno Self Standing can be used in a wide range of different contexts.
Marco Ferreri is an architect who is capable of applying the culture of design to an array of different fields from product design to graphics, from architecture to installation. Born in Imperia in 1958, he lives and works in Milan. He studied with Bruno Munari and is considered a link between the great masters of Italian design and the new generations. He has given lectures and courses at some of the most important schools and universities both in Italy and abroad. At the beginning of his career Marco Ferreri was able to produced a smal but significant object with Danese Milano, the Ellice bookmark.
