About the Item

Mid-18th century George III slant front bureau bookcase, English. A fine mahogany example. Octagonal glazed bookcase doors enclosing adjustable shelves. Blind fretwork frieze surmounted by the Greek key carved & molded crown. Four graduated drawers with period, replaced open batwing brass handles. Raised on shaped bracket feet. Well fitted interior. 82 5/8" h., 38 3/8" w., 23 1/4" d.
