Vintage French Ladder Bookshelf
About the Item
A unique bookshelf created from an old French painter’s ladder coupled with reclaimed scaffolding boards from Belgium. When combined together, the two seemingly utilitarian pieces have been transformed into a one-of-a-kind bookshelf for use in any room or as a wall divider between two rooms.
The "bookshelf" is comprised of one (1) A-frame ladder and five (5) scaffold boards. Wonderful, crusty layers of paint cover the ladder, adding to its authenticity. The ladder bears the markings “No 41 B“, “H. Farcinade 2m 33”. Boards are stamped “D8”, “A7”, “B6”, “C12”, and “B8”. Three boards measure 78 3/4” L x 6” - 8” W x 1 3/4” D; two boards measure 76” L x 6” - 8” W x 1 3/4” D.
The ladder measures approximately 76” W x 31” D (at ladder base) x 85” High when open.
