19th Century French Louis XIV Painted Four-Door Buffet with Faux Marble Top

About the Item

Crafted in France circa 1850, the antique sideboard stands on square legs over a straight and carved apron. The traditional enfilade features two-double doors across the front and decorated with four decorative vertical spline columns; each door with recessed panel, is decorated with floral medallions in each corner. When opened, it reveals inside shelving for additional storage. The surface is dressed with a hand painted faux marble top. The long Louis XIV style eight and a half foot cabinet is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich rubbed patinated painted finish in a neutral gray and off-white palette. Use this versatile and practical four-door buffet as a serving piece in a dining room. Original locks and 2 keys included. Measures: 101.5" W x 22" D x 34.5" H.
