Continental Late 19th Century Neoclassical St. Buffet

About the Item

A superb and very unique Continental late 19th century Neo-Classical st. ebony, giltwood, ormolu, and Verde Antico marble buffet. The buffet is raised by handsome richly carved giltwood paw feet below the bottom frieze decorated with a lovely giltwood band. At the center are two doors each displaying beautiful and most decorative pierced ormolu designs and a fine tied ribbon keyhole escutcheon. The doors are flanked by finely detailed and very unique hanging giltwood carvings of fruit and open display tiers at each side retaining their original mirrored backplates. Above is the original thick Verde Antico marble top with a fine mottled border.
