French 19th Century Transitional Style Tulipwood, Kingwood and Marble Buffet
About the Item
An elegant French 19th century Transitional st. tulipwood, kingwood and Brèche d'Alep marble buffet. The four door, four drawer buffet is raised by six lightly scrolled legs with fine pierced foliate ormolu sabots. At the center are four doors each decorated with beautiful quarter veneered panels showcasing the beautiful wood grain framed within finely inlaid interlocking fillets. Each door displays a lovely ormolu tied ribbon keyhole escutcheon and opens to reveal adjustable shelves. Each side also displays most decorative quarter veneered panels. The frieze displays four lovely drawers also decorated with ormolu keyhole escutcheon. Above is the original Brèche D'Alep marble top with a fine mottled border.
