Louis XIV style buffet

A very charming early 19th century Louis XIV style buffet from the Provence region of France in painted wood. Wonderful finish and patina.

The architecture is complex, with a step-front center section and four recessed and rounded cornerposts on the front, creating visual appeal from all angles. Even the sides are treated to recessed, framed panels, molded detail that flows all the way to the back side of the piece, a gracefully scrolled apron and pediment style feet.
