Large Sideboard Roche Bobois 20 th century , France
Located in PÉZENAS, FR
magnificent row stamped Roche Bobois from the years 1990/2000, opening on 4 superb doors covered with a 3D process of geometric shape which can make us think of the artist Vasarely the work on the doors is incredible, almost psychadelic with nuances depending on where you look at it its base is triangular with a white steel column at its center reminiscent of an airplane wing 1950 A FAMILY HISTORY Roche Bobois is the story of two families that nothing predestined to meet: the Roches and the Chouchans. In 1950, Jacques Roche bought the former Alexandre Dumas theater on rue de Lyon and had two stores built there. Philippe and François, his two sons, joined the brand and together defined the company's development strategy. They embarked on the distribution of the best specialists in French contemporary furniture, strongly inspired by the Bauhaus, such as Minvielle, Steiner or Airbome, but also in the edition of projects by renowned designers such as Pierre Paulin or Marc Berthier. At that time, the Chouchans sold their furniture in Paris...

Una 'Articolo Indeterminativo' Wood and Brass Buffet
Located in Roma, IT
The buffet is the first item of the collection Una (Articolo Indeterminativo) by the Italian woodworker Stefano Marolla. The title refers to the indeterminate article in the Italian grammar, as these pieces trick the eye playing on the ambiguity of the matter: A sturdy element like wood, hand-curved and levigated, looks like a light tapestry. The curves and the soft drapery of the wood are inspired by a long and attentive study on the usage of drapery in art’s history, going back from the ancient Greece to Bernini’s sculptures...

Raymond Loewy Inspired Green Chapter One Dry Bar Buffet by Broyhill Premier
Located in Chattanooga, TN
The Chapter One Server (model 6316-05) is a fabled unicorn. Broyhill's Chapter One line has acquired a cult following over the last decade. This Server / Dry bar is the first (and most likely last) one we've had our hands on in 15 years, and it's not for lack of hunting. Trust us when we say, you won't find another one anywhere, and if you do, it won't be fully restored like this show pony. Broyhill’s Chapter One Collection is officially harder to find and more sought after than the Raymond Loewy originals. With all due respect to Raymond Loewy, there really is something magical about the Chapter One line. Maybe they’re just more fun and approachable. Maybe it’s the proportions and practicality. Regardless, they’re one of our favorite collections of all time. The restoration team pulled no punches on this Chapter One Green Server / Dry-Bar, and the end result exceeded our expectations. Every inch of painted wood was professionally sanded primed and painted to match the original bright white. The laminate top and green molded plastic door / drawer fronts were finally buffed and polished to a glassy shine. It’s tough to see this one go, but we know it will be loved. Broyhill’s Chapter one collection borrowed from the plastic mold injection designs made famous by legendary designer Raymond Loewy. Like Loewy, this Chapter One Green Server employs the futuristic use of color and materials in a way that had not been seen before. The bright green plastic captures the playful spirit of the 1970s. The cabinet is supported by four steel casters that roll with ease. Three hinged doors with towel racks and wood bottle holders, conceal adjustable shelves. Of course this gem is finished on the back with a giant inset green panel framed in the curved white wood. This colorful, curvaceous case-good could have blended in nicely on the set of 2001 A Space Odyssey. The space-age look has never been more desirable, which may help explain the recent scarcity of all things Chapter One. Chapter One green credenza original catalog description: Broyhill’s Chapter One is the beginning of a new era in furniture design and technology. It emphasizes the use of new materials, new shapes and new finish concepts. Chapter One uses plastic for design as well as durability. The fronts are of “Cycolac” polymer, the tops are of newly developed Pionite high gloss laminate, pedestal tulip bases of spun steel. Curved wood areas of select tupelo veneers with cabinet hardwoods are the result of advanced woodworking technology. The bright lacquer finish was especially blended for Chapter One. The House & Garden colors are impregnated into the plastic so that the brilliant colors are completely through the Cycolac. All this plus the outstanding Premier features that are standard in Chapter One, make it one of the most outstanding furniture values...
