19th Century Oak French Cellarette / Bedside Table
About the Item
French Cellarette / bedside stand probably late early 19th Century. This is a great petite size piece standing only 28 1/2” tall that is pegged and dovetail constructed out of what appears to be oak, walnut, and some kind of fruitwood either Pear or Apple. Made to resemble an almost miniature size wash stand or bedside table, it also doubles as a hidden Cellarette. The top section lifts up and folds against the back to expose the inner hidden cabinet area used for holding wine or Champagne. Three larger faux drawers on the bottom portion and one working center drawer and two smaller fixed drawers on the upper portion on either side.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Very old refinish with a warm color and patina showing traces of an old red wash color on the underside of the cabinet. There are a couple of age cracks on the board on top of the small drawers and the usual minor usage marks for a piece of this age,.
