Antique Wooden Cabinet Louis XV

About the Item

Rare 18th-century wooden cabinet in the style of Louis XV, fine French manufacture. The cabinet is made entirely of fine dark wood, four legs for support. The two legs at the front are more worked and thin, very important, those at the back have classic square strong dorma. The cabinet is developed in height rather than width. Centrally there is only one door all decorated with sinuous wood inlays and squiggly fretwork, very true to the French Baroque style. At the top we see a semi-curved frieze, which lends even more majesty to the product. Inside, it is all covered with antique pink wallpaper, and there are three shelves that create four very large spaces. The cabinet is suitable for very large classic kitchens, but also as a cupboard or document holder.

  • Rococò Antique Cabinet in Walnut Wood with Glass

Very rare antique closet dating from the Rococo period of the 1700s, made of walnut wood with brass details, very elegant, fine Italian manufacture. The antique closet is totally made of the finest walnut wood. The base is supported by 4 square feet, placed diagonally, which create a very fine angle. Their workmanship is reminiscent of that of capitals, given the curly detail present on each of them. The wooden base supports the central body of the cabinet composed of a clear glass display case, set into the wood. On the frame is a brass lock. Inside the display case we find a storage space also complete with two drawers below. A brass bar in patina is present. The centerpiece of the closet is its top: it is finely crafted through shapely and sinuous decorations. There are 4 ornamental capitals, one for each corner of the cabinet, also placed diagonally. The top is decorated with a finely worked and curved frieze, also made of walnut wood. On the two front capitals are two decorative wooden structures, reminiscent of those on an ancient cup...

  • Fine Carved and Ebonized Bar Cabinet
    Located in Milano, IT
Splendid bar cabinet designed in the 1920s, of fine Italian craftsmanship, with great mastery of woodwork. The cabinet has two legs at the base that cover the entire depth of the base. The feet are made of wood and have a style that is, to say the least, classical, reminiscent of ancient Greek structures; they are made of white-painted grisaille wood. The central body has a very massive rectangular shape. Both the base and the top are bevelled and have a frame that protrudes, like the friezes on the columns. The top is framed by a very classical Greek fret in white painted wood. The base, on the other hand, is made entirely of ebonised wood, which gives an even more sumptuous effect. The cabinet at the front displays two doors that can be opened by means of a brass key in original patina. Each door is decorated with a rectangular antique Greek frame...
