Art Deco Birch Veneered Cabinet Designed by Axel Laarson
About the Item
This rare 1930s cabinet in birchwood veneer was designed by Axel Larsson and produced by A.B. Svenska Möbelfabrikerna in Bodafors, Sweden.
The cabinet has two double doors and one single door with five external drawers and one drop down shelf. The interior has five shelves, four interior drawers and an original key. It can be used as a high sideboard or bureau and has a lovely patina to it, standing on four fluted legs.
The manufacturer's label is on the inside right door.
The front of the cabinet has a small loss of material on the bottom edge and one chip on the handle on the top drawer. All not visually distracting.
Overall good condition consistent with age and use.
