Blossom, Tall Blue Storage Cabinet, Hand Made Ceramic Inserts, Limited Edition
About the Item
The Blossom collection is a tribute to one of the golden ages of design, a memory exploration, and most of all, a celebration of the joy of ceramics.
Blossom is a series of two cabinets: one with two doors, and a taller one with one door. The wood finish is blue and the ceramics are handmade by Sergio himself. They are glazed in a shiny white finish. Each ceramic piece is different, no mold has been used to make them.
The interiors have white lacquer shelves. The piece is made entirely by hand (no CNC or laser cutting machines have been used) and shows minor signs of imperfections that contribute to its charm.

Sergio Mannino Studio
Sergio Mannino Studio is a multidisciplinary design firm based in Brooklyn, NY. Studio principal Sergio Mannino earned an Architecture degree from the University of Florence and worked extensively in interior architecture with Ettore Sottsass and Remo Buti. In 2002, he mounted a one-man show of his furniture designs at the Memphis Gallery in Milan. In 2008, Mannino’s “ooo! Lamp” was featured at the furniture fair in New York and nominated best pick of the ICFF by Metropolis magazine. Most recently, the Studio introduced the colorful and modular “Non-Flying Carpet” and the “Inside-Out” series at the New York show “Wanted Design” during the NYCxDesign week. The Studio’s work has been published in magazines, books and blogs around the world, including most recently, Wallpaper.com, for a series of lamps inspired by the artist John McCracken.
