A regency period parcel gilt and Amboyna Breakfront side cabinet Using the most striking amboyna veneers, of breakfront form and with parcel gilt highlights; the side cabinet resting on a plinth base, with three lockable doors having pleated silk green panels behind a gilt brass trellis enclosing a shelved interior. circa 1815 Amboyna wood is among the most expensive and sought-after of all burls, deriving its name from Ambon Island in Indonesia. This cabinet celebrates the beauty of this exotic wood, showcasing it on all sides, complemented by the Regency gilt motifs seen throughout.
