Fine French Parquetry and Marquetry Inlaid Sunburst Cabinet Att to Lucien Rollin
About the Item
A beautifully crafted original French Modern three door wood cabinet with sunburst center doors and parquetry side doors and top attributed to Lucien Rollin. The sunburst center doors feature an inlaid wood radiating pattern that mimics the rays of the sun. The parquetry side doors and top feature a geometric mosaic pattern created by placing small, angular pieces of wood in a repeating design. The cabinet is raised on short square wood and bronze mounted legs, which gives it a sturdy, stable and cubist base. The ribbed column sides and bronze mounts add another design element to the detailed style of this piece, giving it a classic and elegant look. This cabinet would be a statement piece in any room setting and any period, adding character and style to the space.
