French Bow Front Mahogany Cabinet, XVI Style
About the Item
A diminutive, vintage French burled mahogany, satin wood, boxwood and inlaid mother of pearl cabinet with a slightly curved front, topped with a beautifully veined and thick creme marble.
Underneath is one small inlaid drawer with a bronze ring pull, flanked by two inlaid panels.
Below is a door having a bronze ring pull and inlaid with floral garlands of mahogany, boxwood, satin wood, and buttons of mother of pearl.
The interior storage space is lined with pure white earthenware.
On each side, are burled mahogany columns with bronze corinthian capitals, flanked by vertical niches.
The sides are also inlaid with satin wood and boxwood. The entire cabinet rests on long turned legs finished with brass sabots.
