Important Antique Museum Quality Equestrian Leather Clad Painted Chest on Stand
About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this extremely important, museum quality, hand painted leather clad trunk on stand depicting rural scenes with horses
Where to begin, firstly I don’t want to sell this, it is without a doubt the most stunning chest on stand in the world, it belongs in its own exhibition with people cuing to see it. It is a mid Victorian leather clad trunk on a William & Mary style base, the painting is very period and would have been the highlight of a study or library
Condition wise, we have lightly cleaned waxed and polished it, there paint has nicely aged as you can see, there will be good honest patination all over
