Italian Mid Century Demi-Lune Cabinet By Luigi Caccia Dominioni

About the Item

A Demi-Lune Cabinet in finely figured dark wood by Italy’s noted Architect and Designer Luigi Caccia Dominioni (1913-2016). Mr. Dominioni is considered one of the leading representatives of the Modern Design movement named “The Milan Style” and was a very early collaborator with the famed brother design pair Livio and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. Mr. Dominioni’s love of materials naturally led him into close working relationships with the crafts people of Milan who worked in Stone, Wood, Glass and Metal and his catalog of Lighting, Hardware and Furniture displays fantastic uses of these materials. Mr. Dominioni received the coveted design award, the Compasso d’Oro. The featured Cabinet is considered a masterpiece of Italian design for it’s understated simplicity and perfect proportions. The three doors each open to reveal two conforming shelves and the case is trimmed in polished chrome. Dimensions: 62" W x 14 1/2" D x 32" H Condition: Please see detail photos. There are a few age-related scuffs and scratches to the top surface which do not detract from the authentic and fine Italian Mid Century presentation.
