This is a large antique billiard and pool scoreboard cabinet. An English, walnut decorative games room cupboard by Burroughes & Watts of London, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
Of superb proportion and wonderful decorative appeal, a treat for any room.
Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order.
Select walnut presents dark caramel hues and fine grain interest.
Configured for scoring several variants of billiards and pool games.
Pair of rotating drum cylinders marked from 0-100, the brass sliders gliding across the rails
Slate scoreboard to centre with sliding life pool counters either side - inlaid counters in delightful Mother of Pearl
Coloured tabs with corresponding coin slots accessed by a pair of drop-front doors
Replete with a set of quality coloured balls, stored within a glazed gallery on green baize
Cabinet base hosting a pair of standard drawers over two cabinets, dressed with brass lock escutcheons
Fascia enhanced with field panels of decorative foliate relief and acanthus leaf detail
Arranged with a storage shelf within, ideal as a cocktail cabinet or for gaming accessories
Working locks to each of the upper compartments and the pair of cabinet doors — keys present
Raised upon three square section feet to front, with bracket feet at the rear
