About the Item
the Oriental-Modern and Organic-Modern styles. Always of superior quality, he often favored exotic woods such Koa and Myrtle. As a footnote, he was a member a consortium of small California designers/manufacturers who group marketed
their lines (for publicity and to give themselves more marketing muscle) under the name "Pacifica" (others included Van Keppel/Green, Luthur Conover, Muriel Coleman, etc.) throughout the early 1950's, in major cities in the U.S. Some of Ray See's designs are pictured in the William Hennessy books "Modern Furnishings for the Home" of the early 50's.
