About the Item
Tapparelle is a collection of elements that explore the traditional technique of antan office furniture with sliding shutters no longer in use, turning them into furniture for the contemporary home with soft and unusual lines.
The base has tapered solid oak feet and sliding shutters. The sideboard is perfect combination between aesthetic and functionality. Is the all-in-one cabinet for the living room. In addition to three oak veneered shelves hidden by shutters, the sideboard has a bottom push- pull drawer for cutlery or small items and a top folding compartment flap with slow motion pistons to use with multiple cable ideal for installations to conceal dvd, console, table, pc.The sliding shutters, "Tapparelle" in Italian (from there comes the name of the product), specially designed for this collection, are composed in chopsticks in solid oak and hand mounted on cotton canvas, as true artisan tradition wants. The structure is in wood panels thickness 16 mm, with double bottom that hides the sliding of the shutter. Finishing in matte lacquered in three colors: Perl white, Pastel blue or a dramatic dark Hague blue. Shelves are veneered in natural oak. In the collection you can find small elements on wheels, big sideboards, and a writing desk, of course closed with "Tapparelle" shutters.

Born from the experience of Matteo De Ponti, architect, who grew up in a historic Milanese design family, and the artistic sensibility of Laura Macagno, degree in Economics and passionate of art and design.
Our mission is to create design icons, suitable for furnishing the homes of sophisticated and international clients. Our expressive research is inspired by the Scandinavian design, the Bauhaus, the Italian architects of the '50s as well as ethnic handcraft, houses of famous writers of the XX century, suspended between present, past and future; the artists who wrote the code of modernity, as Mondrian, Sonia Delaunay, Moholy Nagy, Brancusi and the graphic genius of Escher. We love trips to far lands, starting from Argentina, Laura's birthplace, where our dream started. From there comes the name Colé, tied to a common memory: an element of color which makes us smile just thinking about it.
