Turn of the Century French Wooden Cabinet
About the Item
This wooden cabinet was produced in France, circa 1900. Crowned by a molded cornice, this five-shelf cabinet elevates to just under six feet high and balances its upright case on top of four bracket feet. Exhibiting a pleasing patina, the wood expresses its rich nuances through a pastel palette of frost blue hues, beiges, chiffon and parchment whites. Adorned with a dainty escutcheon and gilded hinges, the double door front opens to reveal the organic blond tone of the wood. A bucolic antique, this understated yet enchanting cabinet transports us to the realm of pastoral ease and simplicity.
