17th c. Inlaid Oak Chest of Drawers

About the Item

A 17th century oak chest of drawers dated 1679, having wonderful string inlaid lines and bands, with two short top drawers over three long drawers, each drawer separated by concave molding, having brass drop pulls. Inlaid side stiles and architrave below top and around base. Standing on turned bun feet. Good rich lustre. Date could be read as 1697, as the last two digits are curiously written backwards.
