It is the all original painted finish that makes this chest of drawers from the Swedish countryside a special find.
Note the original brick red paint accented with the blue/green/white folk art accents all faded and worn to the warm pine patina below.
The faint remains of a monogram and date indicate it may have originally been a wedding gift.
Restored, strong and stable this delightful chest is ready to be used and enjoyed, possibly as a nightstand.
Any scratches, cracks, dings, or age related separation are commensurate with age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely chest of drawers.
