Chiffonier and Commode in Antique Biedermeier Style, Exotic Veneer
About the Item
Exotic Indian Palisander on solid Wood. Architecturally arranged front. Highly rectangular body on log feet, with seven drawers of different sizes. The base drawer is curved, flanked by two full columns of massive beech, carved with gilt bases and capitals. Trellised cornice with so-called Schinkeldach below ebonised tooth frames. There is a secret compartment in the stairs.
Beautiful patina, handpolished with shellac.
