Eastern European Pine Chest
About the Item
Eastern European pine chest, with beautiful honey color and patina, the top has wide molding above three drawers with swan neck pulls and rococo escutcheons. These pulls are particularly noteworthy with peacock back plates. The chests from this area of Europe are extremely well built, and the drawers are especially heavy and substantial. The top of the stiles angle out to a point then taper down to the reeded lower portion. The chest rests on bracket feet
