English 1810s George III Period Geometric Front Oak Chest with Five Drawers

About the Item

An English George III period oak geometric front chest from the early 19th century, with five drawers, brass Chippendale style hardware and bracket feet. Created in England during the first quarter of the 19th century, this George III period oak chest features a rectangular top with rounded edges, sitting above a perfectly organized geometric façade. Five drawers (two small ones followed by three larger ones), presenting carved panels with either raised or recessed accents, are all fitted with brass Chippendale style hardware with delicately etched décor. The sides are made of simply recessed panels while the unfinished back show the piece's great age. The chest is raised on four bracket feet complementing the ensemble beautifully. With its nicely carved geometric décor and bass hardware, this English George III period five drawer chest circa 1810 will make for a wonderful addition to any home, particularly placed in a bedroom or living room!.
