Fine Late 18th Century Yew Burl Wood Chest of Drawers

About the Item

A particularly fine Antique presumed English Chest with magnificent color and style. A finely made chest with book matched Yew burl wood sections forming patterns on the top and drawers. The banded top with carved and pieced bull nose edge. The case with two short over three graduated banded drawers. With patinated brass bat wing bales and escutcheons (lacking a key). The supports with shaped tops and bottoms, mounted on the carved base with bracket feet. W. 43", Depth 21 1/4", H. 42 3/4" Condition: Please see all detail photos. There are expected age-related signs including the top with slight checking and veneer losses, the second drawer with stable age cracks and veneer losses which do not detract from the incredible presentation.
