Pair of Italian 18th Century Baroque St. Walnut, Burl Walnut and Bronze Commodes
About the Item
A stunning and extremely decorative pair of Italian 18th century Baroque st. Walnut, burl Walnut, and bronze commodes. Each three drawer chest is raised by unique and most elegant scrolled tapered legs with fine mottled feet. The bombee serpentine shaped front displays beautiful veneered Walnut panels with impressive foliate bronze pulls with the top drawer displaying a fine keyhole escutcheon while the center and bottom drawer display faux keyhole escutcheons all above an elegant mottled band. The drawers are flanked by inlaid columns at the cut corners while the sides display a beautiful butterfly veneered burl Walnut design while the top displays a stunning and extremely decorative quarter veneered design.
