Queen Anne Walnut Chest on Stand

About the Item

An early 18th century veneered walnut chest on stand of a superb colour and patina. The drawers with matched veneers, herring bone banding and cross-grained mouldings and carcase fronts throughout. Original wavy stretcher stand and bun feet. The fret handles are old mid-eighteenth century replacements.

    Repaired: Minor wood repairs in our workshop Handles are old replacements done in the late 18th Century. Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Slight touching-in to the base where it had been rubbed.
