Shiro Kuramata Furniture in Irregular Forms Side 1 Cabinet by Cappellini, Italy

About the Item

This is an excellent example of the Side 1 Cabinet by Shiro Kuramata. Part of the Progetti Compiuti Collection of drawers first designed by Shiro Kuramata in the 1970s, the Side 1 Cabinet will make a bold sculptural addition to any contemporary / mid century or post modern interior. Boasting a striking sinuous shape, it features a high-density solid ash structure covered with a black-lacquered ash layer, completed with exquisite matte white drawers, chromed steel pulls with brushed steel and gray rubber wheels. This example appears to have never been used. Condition is as close to new as it can get. Extremely well made and very heavy. All eighteen drawers work perfectly
